2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Highlander
The 2008 second-generation Highlander is larger, roomier and more powerful than the vehicle it replaces. Even with increased curb weight, Highlander's fuel efficiency improves. It is noticeably quieter and more spacious, with improved unprecedented versatility and ride comfort. It will be among the leaders in providing standard active and passive safety equipment in a segment where safety is at the top of purchase considerations. The Highlander's advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive system's 3.3-liter V6 engine, with its high-torque electric drive motor-generator, has been extensively upgraded and refined for both power and economy. The new Highlander will also come standard with Toyota's Star Safety System.

Corolla
Unlike Honda when it redesigned its Civic small car a few years ago, Toyota didn't take any chances with the redesign of its Corolla for 2009. The new sedan has received more standard safety features and can now be equipped with a more powerful 4-cylinder engine. The Corolla's base engine is a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder that makes 132 horsepower. Also offered is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with 158 horsepower.
