Denver Auto Show 2008 Highlights
Don't miss these special activities at the 2008 Denver Auto Show.
- The Exotic Car Showcase features some of the most expensive cars in the world. Exciting rides from Laborghini and Aston Martin will be making an appearance at the show.
- The Classic Car Showcase finds its own niche amid the new cars, with automotive treasures from yesterday. They are displayed courtesy of the recently opened LeMay Club Auto Colorado in Denver; The Motor Sport Country Club, an automotive playground planned for Evergreen, Colorado; and the Rocky Mountain Concours d'Elegance, held annually on Labor Day weekend at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.
- The Chrysler Mobile Showcase features a host of interactive displays which include some very cool Wii video games, a chance to illustrate your vehicle with the color and wheels of your choice, and the opportunity to have your picture taken and placed on the front of a major magazine cover. Plus take a test drive in the 2008 Chrysler 300, Aspen, Town and Country, Sebring or Sebring Convertible and receive a gift compliments of Chrysler.
- Toyota will host the Hybrid Synergy Drive Game Show. This fast paced, informative competition teaches participants about how this endeavor is producing environmentally responsible vehicles. The display is even environmentally friendly, made from plywood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, 100% recyclable aluminum frames made from 52% recycled content and fiberboard that is made from 100% recycled wood content.
- Take a sneak peak at models for 2009. Check out the ‘09s coming straight from their Detroit debuts, including the Ford F-150 , Ford Flex, Nissan GT-R, Chevy Aveo5 and Corvette ZR1. There's evea Corvette hanging from the building rafters. Volkswagen is highlighting clean diesel with a comparison of the 1977 Rabbit to the 2009 Jetta Sport Wagon TDI and Tiguan CUV.
- The concepts are coming! The Denver International Auto Show will play host to a number of concept cars, although many were not announced by presstime. Suzuki will have two lifestyle-concept cars at the show. The BaseCamp concept offers cutting-edge design and technology to fulfill the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. The Quay concept is designed to suit recreational boating and water-sports lifestyles, with a customized paint job that reflects the look of Suzuki's line of marine engines. The Chevy Volt will also be on display showing advances in "green" technology.
